This FAQ focuses on our apparel products.

1. ) Care Instructions for Fabrics - How do I take care of my new purchase?
Cotton, Cotton/Linen/Canvas Blend, Kona Cotton:
For the best results and longevity, we recommend washing using a phosphate free detergent in cool water on a gentle or delicate setting. Tumble dry on permanent press or low temperature settings.

Wash on cool setting with minimal detergent as fleece can hold onto base fibers and make it less soft. Tumble dry on no heat/air fluff - ironing and bleaching is not recommended to maintain a soft blanket.

Some fading is typical for these fabrics, especially on darker shades. Fading can be minimized with cool wash settings and gentle wash cycles. While minor, some shrinkage may occur. This can vary based on your machine, detergents and frequency of wash.

Washing for these materials recommend prior to use.

These can be machine washed; however, please expect a change in texture after machine washing. When washing, please expect a 3-5% fade which may be uneven and more noticeable on dark and solid patches. To wash regularly, add a mild detergent or shampoo and machine wash cold on the delicate cycle. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Machine washing chiffon will result in it becoming more crinkled or crepe textured. You may also dry clean your printed silk fabrics.

Silk fabrics experience minimal fading when washed, usually around 3-5%. The fade may be uneven over the surface and will be more noticeable on dark and solid patches.

Production Times

*For the items below, shipped from our manufacturer, these times are estimates only. Due to varying volumes of orders turnaround can be longer depending on season. In most cases, our manufacturer ships on the higher end of the below turnaround time.

*Orders of multiple units may fall into a "wholesale production time frame" - this is double the above listed time. Please contact us if you have are concerned about your order turnaround time or have a specific deadline so we can process your order appropriately.

Shipping Times

For the items noted above, our shipping is handled straight from our manufacturer, which handles all importing themselves. This way, shipping to Canada and the USA will never encounter duties or customs fees.  As long as your order is below $800.00 value, there will never be any surprises with customs fees. For wholesale or drop ship orders over $800.00 shipping in the USA, depending on the shipping method, there may be customs fees, especially with express shipments that ship with a courier.

Shipping is also handled from both a US location and Canadian location to expedite shipping times.


Orders to US customers generally take 2-6 business days once shipped within the USA.  Currently, US and international orders are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from within the USA.

All orders shipped domestically within the US will have a tracking number that can be tracked with USPS.


Orders for Canadian customers normally ship within 2-8 business days of the order is placed. Shipping to Eastern Provinces takes about 3-4 business days and shipping to Western provinces can take 4-7 business days.


International orders generally take 10-15 business days but may be delayed by the customs of your country

International or wholesale orders may be subject to customs fees or duties of your country. Unfortunately, Art of Where does not cover these fees so please contact us if you have concerns regarding your order.
International orders will not have a tracking number due to the fact that they are untraceable once they leave the USA.

Things to Know

Once your order has been shipped, it is in the care of the courier and / or postal service. We are not liable for any errors made by these services, but we are always happy to do everything in our power to work with you and the postal system to correct orders.

Once you have received your parcel, please open it with care. We cannot be liable for any items damaged during the opening of your parcel.


1. ) How do you handle payments? Do you offer a payment plan?

All apparel products must be paid for upfront. We thank you for your understanding.

2. ) Do you give refunds?

Custom printed orders are non-refundable. We thank you for your understanding.
Items are not returnable due to sizing issues. Since all garments are printed and made-to-order, we cannot replace/remake a garment that was not ordered in the correct size. Please choose the correct size by referring to our measurement charts.

3. ) I want to cancel my order.

We're sorry to hear that! Cancellations are allowed only within the first 24 hours. After this 24 hour window, no refunds will be made as your order will have already gone to print and production.

4. ) There is a flaw in my printed fabric. What do I do?

Just like we ask you to do in regards to mechanical issues with a product, kindly contact us and include pictures that describe the issue. We work with our customers on a case by case basis to solve print flaws. Please note that some very small imperfections, though not ideal, are allowable. This can include tiny dust dots, and some ink left on the selvage of the fabric (but not effecting the print).
